All Saint’s Day, Sunday, November 2

Mt. Calvary gives thanks to God for the lives and love of those who have gone before us into eternal life during the past 12 months at both the 9 and 10:30am services on November 2. This is a deeply moving time in our life together, and for some the wounds of recent loss are very painful. Still, we give thanks to God because we know that all who have died trusting Christ live on in hope and peace in our Father’s glorious mansions. Come to stand with your brothers and sisters in Christ that day, giving them your encouragement in the faith. Come to grieve that day, knowing that you have a family in Christ that cares for you and will walk with you in your time of grief.

Ultimately, All Saint’s Day is a time of bright hope. We know that in Jesus’ resurrection death has been emptied of its power. Our victory over our bitter enemy has been won: “On Christ the solid rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand.”
