Mt. Calvary Cares: How Can We Help You?
Everyone has times when life gets tough and a little encouragement is needed. Many of the people in the Metrowest Boston area started life in some other part of the country and now live a long way from family and home. Mount Calvary’s Small Group Ministry is a home away from home where people walk together towards a deeper relationship with God and stand with each other when the tough times hit. Mount Calvary’s small groups meet throughout the area. Some are singles groups, others are composed of young newlyweds, families with children, still others are empty nesters and retirees. Contact Pastor Tim Knapp pastor@mtcalvaryacton.org to learn more about small groups!
Prayer is one of the most powerful tools God has given. Prayer is God’s children speaking with their heavenly Father about the concerns on their hearts. Our Prayer Ministry includes a Prayer Chain, 30+ people willing to pray on your behalf for specific concerns. The Prayer Team is another group that meets to pray for the larger concerns of the Christian Church. You develop the spiritual discipline of prayer by joining one of those groups. In addition Mount Calvary offers an annual winter prayer retreat that will move you deeper into the practice of prayer. For more information contact the church at info@mtcalvaryacton.org.
We offer a ministry of spiritual encouragement and spiritual coaching if you are weighing major issues in life or simply need a compassionate ear. Not everyone needs counseling, sometimes you just need to talk things through with a wise listener. Contact Family Life Minister, Karen Saaristo familylife@mtcalvaryacton.org for more information. Mount Calvary does not provide therapeutic counseling. For therapeutic work we maintain a list of qualified professionals in the community who hold Christian values.
